Xoogler Party in Shoreditch February 2023

QTA brings together UK’s tech heavy hitters for an evening of networking, talks and music at one of London’s hottest contemporary art galleries.

On the 9th of February we hosted the UK Xoogler community at D’Stassi Gallery, London for an evening of music, art, and networking.

The Xoogler community is made up of over 25,000 ex-googlers, who after their time at Google have gone on to start some of the most successful companies and startups in the world – think Instagram, Open Sea, and more. The network also features an impressive line up of investors, CEOs and AI experts.

Our founder, Sal Mohammed, is the lead for the Xoogler UK community and is responsible for helping the network with growth, investment and coordinating community outreach projects. When he suggested we host the UK Xoogler winter gathering, we knew it would be the perfect opportunity to springboard our new series of QTA events.

QTA events are about creating meaningful connections. We aim to curate a space that facilitates discussions and opportunities regarding new and upcoming projects and businesses, all while having some fun in the process. No name tags in sight! Safe to say, this was definitely achieved at D’Stassi Gallery.

We promised our invitees fun, music, drinks and art but also a special guest speaker. We asked Sam Jones, CEO of Gener8, to join us as our guest speaker for the evening. Sam and Sal had a Q&A session during the evening to the audience of Xooglers where Sam provided some great nuggets of wisdom as well as interesting and insightful information on himself and what led him to pursue the creation of Gener8.

The formality of business and networking events has been successfully shaken off and we are looking forward to hosting more QTA events over the next year, each one in a unique and open setting, facilitating natural discussions and hopefully creating a few partnerships in the process.

QTA Partner with TikTok

Things have been busy over here at QTA HQ. We’ve joined forces with TikTok, signing a partnership deal to help find, develop and manage Live creators in the UK!

The deal sees us become one of only five agencies in the UK to be part of the programme. This speaks to the work we have done in both creating one of the UK’s largest partnership networks and the strategic bet we made in choosing TikTok as a key focus area for our clients and our influencers.

“Excited” would be an understatement as we look forward to having the opportunity to work with hundreds of Live creators during this partnership. Both the partnership and the influencer roster will directly link with the work we execute for our clients and we’re already drawing up some exciting ways we can leverage the deal to unlock new growth opportunities for our customers.

TikTok Live is a new feature on the video platform allowing creators to further monetise their accounts by receiving cash gifts from their audience. It will help creators connect directly with fans that love their work and allow them to support their efforts. This allows creators to build authentic, deep relationships with their followers, rather than being pressured to optimise against their interests in order to monetise from ad revenue. It also opens the door for a whole new genre of creators to exist. Whether it’s going live whilst you prepare your evening meal or reinventing the news for a younger audience, like award winning News presenter, Warren Nettleford. The opportunities are endless.

Our deep influencer network and unique data driven approach to the social space is what helped us land the deal. We’re now heavily leaning into both of these areas, using our technology to suggest content ideas, identifying peak presenting times and helping creators expand their reach and engagement.

QTA X XOOGLER FC

QTA are happy to announce the sponsorship of the Xoogler Football Club.

The newly formed 11 a side football team belongs to the Ex Google Network – a community of over 22,000 former Google alumni.

The team will line up against other tech companies and the staff of sporting teams. Their first game will see them line up against old friends, Google, before matches with Manchester City staff and O2.

The team is a rare mix of different disciplines and career types. It’s one of the few occasions where an AI engineer and a business development specialist make darting runs for each other.

Facilitating such connections was really why we wanted to get behind the project. There’s a unique opportunity for connections to form across individuals that don’t typically spend too much time collaborating, but ultimately could unlock growth opportunities together.

With several QTA staff part of the team, we’ll be cheering them on all the way.
